Senior Executive, Industrial Relations

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Build good relations with working people and management to promote and maintain a harmonious industrial relation climate.
  • Responsible for Industrial Relation activities and advising management on best practices. Provide advice on labour laws, company policies and HR practices.
  • Responsible to prepare collective bargaining agreements and participate in coordination of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Handle complaints, grievances and disciplinary procedures including conducting investigations, preparing the necessary disciplinary letters, and conducting domestic inquiries.
  • Liaison for court matter and between Company, Solicitors & IR Court for all Company’s IR cases.
  • Mediator/Company Representative for JPP/JTK Negotiations meeting.
  • Any other assigned duties

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional certifications in Industrial Relations or Employment Law is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in ER/IR. Those with at least 3 years’ experience in ER and/or IR will have an advantage.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia both written and spoken
  • Good ability and flair to organize employee engagement activities.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of Labour/Employment/Industrial Relations law
